The utilization records for individual tools are automatically stored in the system. This allows you to document the areas of application for the tools at any time. A hit-flop list enables you to analyze stock bookings and goods receipts in terms of costs and usage, thereby facilitating exact analysis and optimization of your tool inventory.

tool life management

With this software module for tool life management, which includes an integrated statistics function, it is possible to optimally monitor your tools and store the reasons for tool changes. The statistics function graphically represents the tool life and change reasons for each individual tool step and clearly records this information for a quick overview.

Tool Life Monitoring »flash« (optional)

The ZOLLER »flash« analysis software enables effective tool management and cost-efficient organization of cutting tools. By communicating with the CNC machine, »flash« regularly and fully automatically checks the current tool life and labels their status with colors. Tools that need to be replaced due to the end of their tool life can thus be picked, fitted, and preset in advance. This avoids quality losses, tool breakage, and machine downtime.

Resharpening process

Cost Per Part (optional)

A CPP analysis enables a comparison of budgeted and actual costs per part and, through the analysis of tool life and change reasons, allows conclusions to be drawn about the quality of the tools and processes. The CPP module calculates two different figures: Budgeted CPP is compared to actual CPP. The calculation incorporates the defined tool lives and quantities, as well as purchase prices, the number of regrinding operations, and their associated costs.
